Stuart Bailey (AKA) Stu-Art.org is known by many for his graphic footprint, but also by those who collect his paintings & illustrations. His high energy creative talents come from a family of multiple creative backgrounds. His father was Roy Bailey a well known artist out of Nantucket known for his grand master landscapes. HIs father in his early years also worked as a graphic artist for Push Pin studios NYC. The same studio where Milton Glaser was first recognized. In addition to his father, his sister Vicki Bailey Cooley is also a well established fine artist out of Sarasota.
After Graduating from Sarasota's Ringling Art College, Stu-Art relocated to Southern California where he worked as a designer for the action sports trade & surf industry. During this period he creative & illustrated identity solutions for clients such as Quiksilver Clothing, Ocean Pacific, Hang Ten. Airwalk Shoes and many more.
During the Ninetees Stu-Art re-located to Miami Beach Florida where he worked as a graphic designer & illustrator for Beber Silverstein Advertising. It was the project executed for the "Flower Trading Corporation" that won him & the agency a National Gold Addy Award for "Best Illustration" later to be published with an honorable mention in the national publication "Communication Arts".
A few years later he joined a new team, Smith & Robb Advertising. A Ft Lauderdale Florida based agency who was well known for their famous "GOD" billboard campaign. Here he art directed and designed along side of creative director Charlie Robb where he made good use of Charlie's creative copy. The team went on to win over a dozen more Addy awards both local & regional. During his full time position with Smith & Robb he also created merchandise concepts for Viacom's Music Television & Star Trek's Next Generation. Items that went on to be sold at Viacom's retail super store located on Michigan Avenue in Chicago.
During the 2000's he managed his own proprietorship designing & brokering commercial printing for both large & small businesses. During this period he became the founding art director for Ultra Music Festival. An electronic music festival that grew globally into 6 different countries. Ultra Music Fest was an EDM concept project that morphed from Stu-Art's contributions during his time with "D'Vox Magazine", an electronic music publication out of South Beach Miami. Aside from the trendy electronic music industry he joined forces once again with his senior associate Charlie Robb to design & produce the "Recession 101" campaign for Outdoor Advertising Association of America. This national outdoor public service campaign was placed across America which included his largest placed billboard ever in the center of Times Square NYC. That same year he illustrated & designed a poster for the Latin Artist Music Exhibit "Music Musica", which was held at the Miami Science Museum.
During more recent years, Stu-Art has not only created & branded projects for his clients but he has also donated his talents to many great non-profit organizations such as Van Wezel Childrens, Foundation where his painting "Siesta Keys"sold at auctioned for $20,000. Other donations include: The Surf Rider Foundation, Holy Cross Hospital (Ft Lauderdale), Grace941 Church in Sarasota & ARC (Animal Rescue Coalition), just to name a few.
Currently residing in Sarasota he has been painting & designing while preparing for a great 2020.The future for Stu-Art is going to be even bigger & brighter than before with lots of new ideas, colors & creative inspirations.
